hi! sorry i haven't written in a while. the month of august has just flown by! i spent most of it packing and getting ready for PSMA. oh, and i competed in the sports jamboree the second weekend of august! it was a lot of fun. kristin came, which made it even more fun! and i beat annmarie in the bicycle slalom race which i had been practicing for all year!

so anyway now i'm at my dorm. my roommate kristina isn't here right now, so i figured i would update this. my room is small, but not as small as some of the dorm rooms i've seen over the years. we both have closets, dressers, beds, and desks, and a refrigerator/microwave. it's really nice actually. and we have a huge window that looks out onto the campus. i've slowly been navigating my way around the campus, and it's very easy to find places. i just go out the door of my dorm, then down some steps, down a pathway, and there's the cafeteria. then i go down some more steps, down a pathway, and there's my classroom building. i have a lot of my classes in one building, but one is in a different building that is right next to it, which helps a lot. i'm planning to navigate my way through my schedule today while i get ready for classes. they start tomorrow. i'm excited and nervous at the same time. and my cousin and aunt (who are really just my third and second cousins but i refer to them as cousin and aunt) are coming to visit today! my other cousin is moving into the same dorm i'm in, so they're going to come and see me! i can't wait!

hi! well things are going well. i've been busy getting things ready for when i transfer to PSMA. and i've been tutoring kayla. she's making a lot of progress, which i'm happy for. and i've been trying to organize my room so it'll be easy to pack for PSMA when i need to. i move into my dorm on 8/21, and i'm really excited.

my birthday was last saturday, which was fun. i went to breakfast with my family. the waitress there brought out a blueberry muffin with a candle in it. i also got my nails and hair done. and my mom took me for lunch at the hamilton. we had a surprise party at tj rockwell's too. we had dinner there and my first official drink was a mudslide. then we went to the casino and i won $116. and i got a kindle from my great-grandparents! i love using it to read books; it's so cool! all in all, it was a great birthday!

well other than that i've been cleaning my room and doing other things. tonight my mom and i are going to go shopping for some dorm stuff. i'll write again soon. -ash
